Bridging The Gap focuses on understanding the unique historical, socio-economic, environmental and cultural differences in the way the Baby Boomer, Gen-X and Gen-Y (Millennial) generations were raised and how these influences shaped their work styles, values and expectations. Marc Robertson is able to masterfully bring audiences comprised of members of one or all of these generations to develop a new appreciation and empathy for why those who are their managers, counterparts or reports respond to situation differently than they do. It is first through this understanding that individuals become open to developing the new skills needed to help bridge these generational gaps. Robertson shows those from older generations how to encourage and motivate this unique generation of nonconformists who need to be engaged in meaningful tasks and function best when in teams.
