Of the outstanding achievements in the Presidency of Dwight Eisenhower, none were more dramatic or impactful than his last. In this presentation, Baier discusses his newest book, Three Days in January: Dwight Eisenhower's Final Mission, which tells the story of how President Eisenhower fought to secure the nation's future before his young successor, John F. Kennedy, took power. Baier takes audiences on a journey through the many successes and challenges of the Eisenhower Presidency. From his negotiations with the Soviets and the Koreans which has been said to have saved the world from destruction, to the fiscal and social changes that ushered the U.S. into one of the greatest economic booms in world history. The lessons of the Eisenhower administration are as relevant in today as they have ever been. Baier brings the audience full circle by connecting the current political climate to the stories of the Eisenhower era.
Baier is celebrating five years since taking over for Brit Hume.
Baier passed on politics and wrote about his son's medical problems.
