Christopher J. Smith’s life changed forever on November 24, 2021, when he was shot point‑blank in the head and left for dead after going on a first date. A 9mm hollow‑point bullet remains lodged in his frontal lobe.

Doctors informed his parents that he had a zero percent chance of survival or recovery. Christopher suffered three major ischemic strokes, spent more than two months in a coma, and was told he would never walk, talk, or live independently again.

Against every medical prediction, he survived—and recovered.
