We are all holding thoughts that are not valid for us. Very often they are thoughts that were given to us by people who did not have our best interests at heart. They tend to be negative thoughts that affect our self-esteem and self-confidence. They hold us back from achieving our goals because every time we have to make a decision in life we use our thoughts. We think about what to do.

And if we're holding negative thoughts that are not valid for us, our decisions will not work out the way we would like them to, which is why we see recurring patterns in our lives, the same bad job over and over again, the same bad relationship, and the only common denominator is us.

And although we create all our thoughts, our thoughts are not necessarily based on our experience, they're based on our INTERPRETATION of our experience, which is why you can have siblings that are completely different people, and if you asked them about their childhood, you'd think they had different parents, because their interpretation is so different.

So although it's not easy, we have to examine our thoughts objectively to eliminate the thoughts that are not serving us and replace them with new positive thoughts.
