Students, parents and faculty were given valuable insights about how boys can help create communities free of gender violence. Noted educational expert Dr. Jackson Katz visited McCallie for two events Thursday morning, speaking first to parents and other interested visitors at a breakfast gathering in the Brock-Lazenby Room and later to faculty and the Upper School students in a special Chapel Presentation.

Men and women of the campus and community are coming together to discuss violence against women. Internationally acclaimed lecturer Jackson Katz will speak at Norton Auditorium April 13. His lecture, “More Than a Few Good Men: A Lecture on American Manhood and Violence Against Women,” addresses gender violence.

Author and activist Jackson Katz advised men on their roles in stopping sexual assault during his talk Thursday called “The Macho Paradox: Why Some Men Hurt Women and Why All Men Can Help.”
