After seven years of research Dr. Brené Brown from the University of Houston uncovered that this assumption is just wrong. In fact, courage is teachable, observable and measurable. She discovered that there are four skill sets we need to develop and build the courage muscle. They are not new; we just haven’t mastered them yet. We gave our hearts and minds to technology and somewhere along the way, we forgot about the heart. So, the next stage of courageous leadership will require us to go back, pick up the heart where we left it, and include it in our everyday life.
