Based around his website hitrecord.org, this live variety show is a combination of discussing technology and the wonders of distributing and disseminating art to the public through the net. Showcasing video, music and writing created by the members of the site, Gordon- Levitt MCs the night and interacts with the audience in various fashions. Social media use is heavily promoted at the shows as well, and Gordon-Levitt encourages audience members to film events on their cameras and phones, which can then be available to a community of over 150,000 artists to edit and remix on hitRECord.
