About Kati Morton

The best session of the training!!! Wonderful and creative ideas and concrete and practical suggestions. Really enjoyed this session. Relevant for teens and for adults as well. I wish I could give higher marks above, Kati's presentation was a breath of fresh air! This is my favorite and most informative presentation thus far with this conference! I took so many more notes; she made so many great suggestions for a lot of the issues I am seeing with the teens I see currently (and even before COVID-19 struck)! Thank you! I will be looking for the book Kati is currently working on! I am so grateful for the opportunity to hear her speak! Excellent information I can use in social-emotional learning district wide!

This talk reframes coping as a learnable life skill, explores how nervous-system responses shape behavior, and highlights how small, consistent practices can support emotional regulation over time. Kati also normalizes seeking mental health support, including how to “interview your therapist” to find the right fit, empowering individuals and communities to approach mental health with greater confidence and clarity.
