About Ned Blackhawk

This was our first time hosting Prof. Blackhawk, and his presentation was inspiring. Through his presentation, Professor Blackhawk made us all feel was though we were in his Yale University classroom. We are grateful for Blackhawk’s groundbreaking scholarship presented in The Rediscovery of America, which acknowledges the enduring power, agency, and survival of Indigenous peoples and provides a more complete historical record. In his Q&A conversation with Director of the Tamástslikt Cultural Institute and OHS trustee Bobbie Conner, we were reminded of the many connections that weave us together across generations and distance. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to host him in Portland!
