Most Jungle Book big-screen adaptations have done very well at the box office — the 1967 version, the last animated film Walt Disney personally supervised, was the second-biggest grosser of its year, behind only The Graduate — and this one will be no exception upon its April 15 release as it takes the baton from the studio’s fresher, more original smash Zootopia.
