We've all had the experience of using a word or a phrase, knowing what it meant to us, but realizing at some point that the person, or people, hearing it have different understanding and expectations because their meaning differed. This lack of alignment in words and expectations can have devastating consequences when you require a collective of people to align towards a common strategic outcome that requires things to be different than they are today.
