In a time defined by climate urgency, architecture must treat buildings, landscape, and environments as a continuum to create buildings that have agency in their environments in order to promote the wellbeing of both the inhabitants and their habitat. At Archi-Tectonics, design research drives the pursuit of creating buildings and urban strategies that are not static objects, but living frameworks embedded in their cultural and ecological contexts.
This session examines how hybridity in form and function—guided by haptic intelligence and advanced manufacturing—can generate adaptive designs that can cater to multiple programmatic needs simultaneously. Through high-performance 3D facades and low-carbon systems, these buildings catalyze urban resilience and foster communities.
